My son, he was the last one and I wanted to see him graduate.
I mean, I really, really thought that I was gonna die and it all scary.
I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma once. And then when we found out that I got it again, it was devastating.

In the hospital there was a tradition, once you’re done with radiation, you would ring the bell and then everyone would cheer.
That’s a victory bell.
Then you know that you crossed the line and you’d be okay
The Survivor Bell Choir
When I ring those bells I do get a connection to the bell that I rang at the hospital.
To be able to stand up with this choir and all that that represents, it’s a miracle.
I’m working with people who have cancer, giving them hope. So it’s very powerful.
I think I’ve had to do this to give those who are in the situation that I was in, hope.
I remember visiting my daughter recently and I laid down and took a photograph of the sky, and it was just like – was it ever that blue before?
I am extremely, extremely thankful for one more thing.
Just never give up.
I just believed personally every beat of our heart is a gift. And as long as we have breath and we have a heartbeat, we have hope.
