Hi, I’m Brittani Louise Taylor, and I’m going to draw my life. I was born in Golden Valley or St. Paul, Minnesota. My mom doesn’t remember which city. My brother Blake was 17 months older than me, and I had two amazing parents Bob and Barbara. Did I mention that was an accident? Surprise!

Anyways, we had to move when I was one and a half, because my brother was really allergic to misquotes, and he would blow up like a balloon. So we packed up and relocated to Sedona, Arizona. It was a really small town; there was only one movie theatre, one grocery store, and two traffic lights in the whole place, and no playground, but there were no misquotes, so go parents.

My dad was an airline pilot, so I only got see him two weeks out of the month, but he always brought me back something from his trips. So it made it a little easier having him gone all the time.

When I was four, I saw the Miss USA Pageant on television, and I literally wore a bathing suit for the next two years of my life. I’m still known as the girl who wore the bathing suit. Because there was nothing to do, I grew up reading and drawing and playing sports, and doing plays, riding and showing horses and hiking with my brothers.

School was fine, I had some friends, but things got really rough in junior high. I was bullied so bad that I had switch schools in seventh grade, and ride the bus an hour each way.

But that’s when I discovered just how much I loved acting, I auditioned for Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and out of 100 girls, I got the part, and that started the bullying up again at my new school.

This one girl in particular would try spit her gum on my hair on the bus, and she stole my jacket, and worst is when I was invited over to a sleepover only for the girls to pour nail polish on me when I was sleeping.

I would literally come home from school everyday and cry, and I remember my mom saying, Brittani, I don’t understand why this keeps happening to you, but all I can think is that God is strengthening you for something big.

Things finally got better in high school, because I had bad highlights a [retainer], and a face full of acne, and I kind of just spent a lot of time alone, and I had a huge crush on the same guy for all four years, and we never got together, we just stared at each other a lot. We just loved the staring.

I had an academic scholarship to Northern Arizona University, and at the last minute, I got an Arts scholarship to go to Arizona State University, but college was pointless for me because I wanted to act. So I dropped out, and finally moved to Hollywood. I was 18, I didn’t know anyone, and I had no clue what to do.

First I tried the traditional Hollywood route, I did a lot of studio films, some crappy independent films, couple of small TV gigs, and then one day I got an audition for a live video broadcasting company called Operator 11. It was there that I learned how to use final cut, and green screens, and film and edit and blah, blah, blah.

Then I came to work one day, and the doors where chained closed. They ran out of money and they kind of failed to tell me this. My mom suggested that I take my show to YouTube, and I was so mad that I threw all my energy into making videos.

Through YouTube, I met my amazing friend Shane, and we hung out, and then he asked me to be in some videos, and probably most you guys are watching because of him, and I just love him so much.

In 2009, my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer, and he passed away in 2011. I can’t put into words how hard or painful those years were, but I feel so grateful to have had him as my dad, and I wouldn’t take back one moment with him.

Fast forward to now, and I still having amazing family, and amazing friends and an amazing online community that I love dearly. I think the key to life is not to get hardened, we all experience rejection and disappointment, ridiculed, pain, loss, but it only makes you stronger if you don’t let it destroy you.
