It’s the fastest road car Lamborghini has ever built, and it costs a cool $4.5 million, meet the Lamborghini Veneno, an ultra-exclusive super car based on the V12-powered Aventador. The Italian car maker pulled the covers of the ballistic carbon fiber sports car on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show, which kicks off later today.

Only three Venenos will be built, one each in red, green, and white to symbolize the colors of the Italian Flag, all three have been sold. The Veneno’s 552 kW, 6.5 liter V12 is capable of slingshotting this Italian stallion from standstill to a 100 kilometers an hour in just 2.8 seconds. In keeping with tradition, the car is named after a famous fighting bull. Veneno also means venom in Spanish. The Veneno has been built to mark Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, and to spoil the launch of arch rival Ferrari’s successor to the Enzo, which will be unveiled later tonight in Geneva.
