A woman in Houston Texas was arrested and jailed for holding up a sign that warns drivers that there is a speed trap up ahead. This was in Houston, Natalie Plummer was charged with walking on the roadway. They said she was jay walking and she was a danger to herself and others and she basically said she saw the speed trap and she thought this is really wrong for officers to just be randomly pulling over people so she made her own little sign and she held it up and they jailed her for it

Twelve hours and they let her go – but still it was the – they said that they grabbed her backpack they
began rifling through it. They basically for some reason decided that she needed to be fully searched because she was walking in the roadway which she said she wasn’t – she said she was on the public sidewalk which is totally allowed.

I would think she’s got a free speech law suit going on here, I don’t know if she’ll go that way – but
