So they were asking if you could give any gift to anybody, what would you give? The first thing that came to mind for me was, I would give my son a lift so that we could bring his powerchair home in a van.
Good morning. Good morning. Source: LYBIO.net
Which one do you want to wear? Grey one, yeah, okay.
Married, have a kid, raise a very typical family. I think that’s kind of in my vision from the beginning. So, ya, we still have that, but it’s a little kind of different.
Chelsea’s son Kale is 3 years old.
He has Cerebral Palsy.
Yeah, do I go to the next page, yeah, that’s your job.
He’s smart and he wants to be independent. He wants to make himself move. He wants to be able to choose to go places.
Chelsea: Right now – he has kind of a manual chair, so we push his chair.
Hi, you are ready to do some work today?
Chelsea:
He is wanting to use powerchair, so we finally got him a powerchair, he just took off and loves it. We’ve never experienced bringing the powerchair home. That will stay at the day care. It’s about 250 pounds, so there is no way we can bring to home. I can’t lift that.
But we can.
So while they were out, we installed a lift in the family van.

What are you laughing about? Look.
You guys have zero idea how much this is really going to help us. It’s seriously amazing, thank you so much.
Now, we can actually bring his chair home.
A big hug.
Having this lift means, we could go to the mall, we could go to restaurants. We could go to friend’s houses.
Honestly, what I’ve noticed today is his ability to use the chair, having these interesting surroundings, he was so much more interested in operating his chair.
This holiday, Chelsea gave her son something unexpected.
The gift of freedom.
