There’s something you always dream of riding even when your a kid it’s the pinnacle of cycling. The first time I did was back in 2007, I was the youngest guy there. It was just unbelievable how big it was, nothing that I’ve ever witnessed before. I never expected to finish, I thought I’d get maybe a week but then you just get up in the morning and as soon as you get on the bike you just don’t wanna stop. It’s definitely hard and grueling but it’s just great to be there and be amongst it. It is incredible but kind of the scenery we ride through – even when you flat out, you can just hear the buzz around you and ( ) it’s freezing cold, fog, couldn’t see much in-front of you. Then all of a sudden these three like fat blokes just jumped out with these white ( ) and then the Welsh flags. It just takes your mind off the race for a bit and just have a little bit of a laugh and ya and you plow on and keep riding up the mountain. A lot of people only get to watch it on the tele or if your lucky enough to go to France and watch on the side of the road so to see how it all works, what goes on, I think it’s ah unbelievable really, we’re looking for a passion for cycling to come and join us.
