Michelle Phan- Chic Makeup For Glasses
[Michelle Phan]
I wear glasses all the time, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing cute make-up. The beauty with glasses is that, it can frame the face quite nicely, but with a little bit of make-up you can transform your look. I’m going to start off with my favorite lip-balm EOS. When it comes to frames, concealing your dark circles is crucial because your frames can cast a shadow around that area. So you want to brighten this area. You want to also bright up the rest of your complexion, by concealing redness around the nose, and around the mouth. This will make a huge difference, trust me. Using Lancome Oscillation Power Foundation, I’m using ??minimal/mineral?? make-up because this doesn’t smear as much, your glasses can leave marks around the nose area, so any foundation that can smear will not help this look at all. Remember keep your under eye area Matte, because this is where the frames rest, keeping a dryer surface will prevent accidental smearing. Darken and fill in your brows. When it comes to wearing frames and your feeling a little brave, darken your eyebrows more and keep them looking full and natural, so a strong brow can compliment your frames nicely because your brows can frame your glasses. Try on your glasses to see how it looks so far. Using YSL new [Ombres Duolumieres #24] duel eyeshadow number 25, select the Turquoise Blue, and apply this color along the outer corner. We are keeping the use of color to a minimum. Selecting the Hazey Violet, outline or create a crease, you want to create or intensify a crease, this will add more depth to your lids, and will show up better behind frames. Using, Maybelline’s Eyestudio, use a black color and create a strong cat eye, start around the outer corner and start shaping the angle. Create a strong edge, and keep it nice and crisp. Line it from the front to the back. And drop down the inner line, start lining your waterline and create the second wing. Make sure the lines are clean. This eyeliner shape [wave outline] will stand out, making this the perfect look behind frames, but don’t worry if you think its too harsh, your glasses will tone down this look. Make sure both eyes are even. Cure your lashes, here I’m using my favorite lash curler Shu Uemura. Using Lancome Definicils, because I have thin lashes I need a drier formula, a drier formula will not clump as much because you can keep combing through. Wiggle the wound to reduce clumping. Remember to coat your lower lashes, build the lashes to the point where you want them to clump. We want dull like lashes. It will stand out behind your frames. Using a shimmering blush Shu Uemura [Satin Radient Stick] apply this on your cheeks, on the bridge of your nose and chin, and blend, blend, blend. This will give your skin the luminescent glow. And apply a shimmering cheek blush on the apple of your cheeks. Finish off with the new peachy look color [YSL #30 Faubourg Peach], I’m really loving this color [Peach]. Stick with a soft nude color cause you want the attention on your eyes not your lips. Now we are finished. Try on your glasses you will see a huge difference. Your eyes should look super animated. And check out the clumpy little lashes, it works see! Glasses are so cute, and with the power of make-up, you can really make your eyes stand out even more, so don’t be afraid of your glasses. They are not definitely holding you back on awesome looks. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Good Luck. Music by Kaskade. “I’ll Never Dream” & “Back on You”
