When people ask me what I do. I say: “I paint shoes.” Um people look at me a little weird. I never set out to be a designer of shoes, it all happened by accident, really. I was bored one day and doodled on a pair of shoes everyone loved them and I thought I could probably make a little bit of money out of this. I started designing them online and posting them to social networks and people loved them and bigger websites started taking an interest and my fan base grew from there really.

I have two phones constantly attached to my hand, it might be a little be cheesy to say it, it is an extension of myself. I’m always emailing, I’m always Tweetin’, I’m always updating my blog, everything is done through my phone, it it’s essential to what I do. When someone commissions a shoe from me, it all starts with the actual designing of the shoe, they’ll send me some ideas that they like, I send them some of my ideas, and we keep going until we got something that they’re happy with and I’m happy with as well. Trainers are used in pop culture as a form of expression. I’m inspired by everything really. When I come out and about and I spot something I like, I just get my phone out, it’s like my little black book that I can take home and incorporate it into my work.
