Hi, guys, my name is Courtney Render I wanted to tell you all a bit about my story and what my struggles have been for the past 2 1/2 years. I have been battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It all started in 2009 when I was a McGill student and I was just really sick, I went through numerous doctors and eventually they diagnosed me. Then I started getting treatment in Toronto, I had to drop out of school and have chemotherapy for 6 months and I mean as you can imagine it was pretty rough ah you know I had some really bad days, I got through it and then to my surprise after that I found out that I relapsed – that treatment wasn’t enough for me so I had to go on stronger treatment and umm I found out I couldn’t go back to school or you know continue my normal life as a 20 year old which was really hard. I had to have stronger chemo, radiation and a stem cell transplant and all of that took place in the course of eight months. And then I – after that it took awhile – a really long time for my body to repair, you know, trying to get back, used to my, you know, normal life and I – I found out, yet again that the medicine wasn’t enough for me and, I mean, my world was turned upside down, I mean, it’s been over – it’s been over a year that I was dealing with this and I didn’t – I didn’t know where to turn to or anything.

And then I started on a trial drug in Detroit thinking that this is, you know, my hope and my cure because I was dealing with this for almost 2 years and umm after a few months on that I relapsed yet again, my whole world came crashing down, I just, I didn’t know what to do, I felt so hopeless, umm, I didn’t know where to turn or anything and luckily we found a treatment in the States, it’s an alego egg stem cell transplant that they will be performing at Johns Hopkins and this is what will cure me, the only problem is that it costs $600,000 dollars, we need to reach out to the community for all the support we can get, cause this is what will save my life, and this is what I need to go on and live my life and I’m only 22, I have so much life to live, I still wanna graduate from McGill and become a teacher and, I’m just, I’m just hoping that whoever sees this video can do whatever they can to help and get the words out and I mean, we already reached out to the community as some of you may know, and we’ve got such an amazing response, my friends and family and everyone, I just, I can’t thank people enough, and I just wanted to let you know my story and –
