On September 26th, 2012, the Iranian government arrested American citizen Saeed Abedini. For the past four months, Saeed has been held in one of Iran’s harshest prisons and subject to abuse and torture. On January 27th, Saeed was sentenced to eight years in prison charged with threatening national security simply for sharing his faith in homes across Iran,

Saeed has shown courage that few of us can comprehend, but now it’s our turn to do all that we can. It has been very emotional for the kid, my six-year-old understands so much more, she has been asking questions, you know, and a few weeks ago, she was crying, crying, mommy, I’m forgetting daddy’s voice, I don’t remember how his voice sounds anymore.

So, it’s just been very difficult for our family, especially for our kids, they don’t understand, when is daddy coming home, they don’t understand days and months, how long and they feel like they’ve waited a long time already and we just want to get him home, we just want to get him back.
