Hi I’m Fred and I’m doing a project called Be Serious for 30 Seconds and what it is is user submitted videos that is you umm send in a video and ah it’s gotta follow these rules.

THE RULES

Rule 1: It has to be serious.
There can not be any comedy whatsoever in it. No humor no smiles not even like ironic comedy.

Rule 2: It has to be 30 seconds or less

Rule 3: No more than 2 people in it
It can have no more than 2 people in it. 2 MAX

Rule 4: At least 1 5 second dramatic pause
5 seconds of total silence.

Rule 5: At least 1 cutaway to an object

Rule 6: Do your best acting
You have to do your best acting job possible.

Rule 7: It needs to have a door slamming
And the last thing is, it has to end with a door slamming, it can be a regular door, a car door, a refrigerator door, whatever you want. That’s what the end has to be.

These can be scripted or improvised. You can have dramatic music or you can not have dramatic music, you can edit it or you can just shot it all at once, however you wanna do it. It’s not a competition. So as long as it follows those rules, it should just be a place where you can just see all these videos of people being serious. And I’m gonna give an example right now.

(1 – 5 second dramatic pause)
