Terrible times are coming and terrible times call for poetry in the extreme. Sing and chant while you may, it may not come another day. This is the bleedery of my columns of gloom and doom they are important. By Edgardo may save a life. Perhaps yours. Perhaps mine. Sharpen your led, resuscitate instinct of survival, comb through insensate hairs, pluck from them what is worth still to remember. The numb-dumb songs and fascist beats and raps that bind every piece of crap that anyone has ever thought of, air stinks yes, but then you say how the room is so tidy, everything in it’s place. Will your truth to comedians? Is it all just a joke? It won’t seem so funny when your turn comes when the gurgle drowns, the laugh, the bubbles out through your slipped throat. What lies beyond laughter is depression, what lies beyond the lies is joy and freedom. Just what all you never really know. So go ahead be surprised in a good way, say be surprised, if you can say: “You never saw it coming.” But you’ll be lying to the world like you were lying to yourself all along. I can see who will make it through the jungle. You say: “There is not jungle here.” “I’m safe and free.” The jungle comes for us all at the end, friend.
