I was in the bedroom and sitting in there, checking the clock, changing shoes and the basement is full basement right under my bedroom and I heard something. And I get a little noise and I said, “it maybe an damn squirrel got in or something.” Then it came one, two, three, I said, “Hell, no, there’s somebody in the basement.” And so I got my gun and went over and sit down.

Went and got the gun and sat here across my knees. I knew that he is going to open the door from the basement, that’s how you get in here because I can hear them steps, and when he got up here, he kicked it open, damn here kicked it off the hinges, boom, like that. And he had to step up a part of the step, because it wasn’t on full step and when he stepped up, he was fully exposed, clothing and all. And I said “Well, that’s far enough.”

He kicked the door off the hinges and he is fully exposed and that’s when I shot him. He was fully exposed and I could tell that he’s pretty good size he was a man you know, and he fell backwards all the way down the steps. And that’s when the two buddies there, when he got to the bottom they got him and dragged him up to his car and take him to away (inaudible) road but I didn’t know that. The other buddies up here are waiting on, you know that, maybe they should stop all the stealing and robbing, I don’t know, maybe will, maybe will, I don’t know.

Why? I’m a military man. I ain’t going to dial somebody. I have to wait for an hour for the damn – that guy shooting me in the face and going or let that kind of stuff. Time is of essence – time is of essence, you only got so much. You know if I hadn’t shot him, he would have been in here attacking me, whatever you know, that’s seconds, that ain’t no damn hours. They said, “I told you to put your hands in the air,” demanding me to do that. Hell, I didn’t do nothing, so I finally did to calm them you know, shit calm the hell. This isn’t America, this isn’t America.
